HIV Track in the Primary Care Track of the Internal Medicine Residency at UC-Denver Anschutz Medical Campus

During a residency in Internal Medicine Primary Care at the University of Colorado, a resident can choose to take part in the HIV Primary Care Track.
This includes an elective focused in HIV care in addition to 2 years of continuity work with our HIV primary care clinic at Denver Health, the safety net hospital associated with the residency program.
This allows the residents to get individualized training in the treatment of people living with HIV,
as well as introduces them to the intricacies of caring for this population in a primary care setting.
At the completion of this track, the residents are eligible to take the AAHIVM exam and gain this certification.
